Donald Trump has announced that he is launching a new social media platform called TRUTH social. The announcement was made on late Wednesday night.

“I created TRUTH Social and TMTG to stand up to the tyranny of Big Tech,” Trump’s announcement said. “We live in a world where the Taliban has a huge presence on Twitter, yet your favorite American President has been silenced. This is unacceptable.”

“I am excited to send out my first TRUTH on TRUTH Social very soon. TMTG was founded with a mission to give a voice to all. I’m excited to soon begin sharing my thoughts on TRUTH Social and to fight back against Big Tech. Everyone asks me why doesn’t someone stand up to Big Tech? Well, we will be soon!” he added.

“A beta launch of the site for ‘invited guests’ is expected in November, with a full launch in the first quarter of 2022,” the Hill noted.

The social media site’s launch was also announced on “Hannity” by Donald Trump Jr.

Donald Trump has been banned from most social media platforms, despite being effectively exonerated in the January 6 investigation. The Federal Bureau of Investigation has been unable to find any central plot to overturn the results of the 2020 election, including any one orchestrated by the former President of the United States.

In early October, Trump filed a lawsuit against Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey with the aim of restoring his Twitter account. The lawsuit argues that failing to restore his official account is a violation of his First Amendment rights and is tantamount to interfering in political elections.
